It’s the 2nd day of 2012, time to dig into my lousy memory and reflect back what I’ve done for the whole of 2011

January 2011

I had a sudden obsession with Charlavail and LoveAndASandwich which are 2 really creative and inspiring girls who works a lot on handmade stuff which also led to my new obsession with buying craft stuff and experimenting around.
I also somehow couldn’t stop browsing pictures of domokon and spending more time on tumblr. Oh, I ended January by making some owls!

February 2011

I ordered a Charlavail honeycoma tshirt! But I only realized that I picked the wrong size when it arrived, but I still love it! And I kept the envelope it arrived in cuz Charlavail drew a lil bee on it
Didn’t do much for Chinese New Year, stayed in KL and hang with friends and stuff.

March 2011

Got myself a new pair of specs, Police brand, but since it was a ‘P’ at the side of the frame, I call it my Paramore specs. teehee. Ordered myself a Charlavail and SamiiRyan collaboration tote bag and accessories, but it got lost in the mail SamiiRyan refunded my $ tho, since there were no extra left

April 2011

Made more owls and gave them to some friends. Stumbled and discovered the magical cuteness of Amigurumi and start digging for tutorials and buying supplies. If you are wondering “What is Amigurumi?”, it’s adorable knitted/crochet dolls.

May 2011

It’s my Birthday month! Completed my very first Amigurumi, it was messy but all the same an adorable blue octopus. Bought a couple of Amigurumi books. Celebrated my Birthday by participating in the Company’s Bowling match and played Archery for the first time, then ended the day with some chill time.
Ended the month by going to a job interview, time for a change of environment.

June 2011

The awesome @kellster held a wonderful BBQ party, one of the best nights ever. Good food good company, new friends
Went for Chic Pop 8 and bought a load of craft supplies! Yay!
I also quit my first job which I have loyally worked at fo ralmost 5 years.

July 2011

Cousin Vicky and boyfie Mike from UK came to visit! Had a load of fun taking them around shopping and eating and a quick trip to Malacca for some lovely food. Shortly after saying goodbye to them, we got news that Vicky and Mike got engaged. Another wedding around the corner.
Also got myself another new piercing, a daith piercing with is on the small bone located inside the ear.

Had a slightly disappointing farewell from my previous job, I don’t care if this is public, and people read it and get offended, but I now know who are the real people who really cares that I am leaving! Time to move on.

August 2011

A new beginning, first day on the job. Started well, was really fuzzy about the industry cuz I had no experience whatsoever in the line, but I’m coping. Also adjusting to the totally different work culture which is more laid back.
Completed a little cat from a DIY kit I bought from Chic Pop 8.

September 2011

Ordered in more Threadless T-shirts and head off to Genting with my new colleagues. Genting trip was a great time of bonding and relaxing.

October 2011

I finally got to experimenting and playing with Sculpey polymer clay, and made myself some Charlavail sugarskulls. I REALLY want to buy some of the originals made by her, but I always miss the sale and every single sugarskull gets sold out
I’m really proud of the results, but I ran out of white Sculpey…

November 2011

Hong Kong here I come~ A little vacation planned by Ryan’s mum for some shopping and family bonding. It was a great trip but 5 days was not enough to see everything. Definitely going to plan to go back again, and visiting Disneyland!

December 2011

Finally got the chance to get more Sculpey but there was no white in stock, boo….next time I’m going to buy a bundle when there is stock!
I got myself an iPhone 4s because my iPhone 3Gs is practically useless and keeps dying on be, plus it costs too much to get it repaired.
Spent Christmas at Colmar Tropical, too bad it rained the whole trip, we just spent most of our time walking around in the square and going to bed early.
Manage to plan a real last minute NYE party at Ryan’s place, and got my mum to teach me how to make some Steamboat broth for the party.

And there you have it, a very brief run through of my whole 2011, I know I missed out a lot but if I included everything then it wouldn’t be brief now would it

I should make a point of having a monthly post so I don’t have to keep cracking my head trying to remember all the past events that happened within the year. That’s all now, time to start making plans for 2012.

MTV WORLDSTAGE 2011!! BOOYAH!! ….yeah I know that I am posting this one week late. But who cares! This year’s MTVWS was so AWESOME! With main act 30 seconds to mars, together with Beast, Neon Trees and Pop Shuvit! It screams of awesomeness!

After years of waiting, one of my favorite rock band has finally come to KL to perform and also the irresistible Korean boyband Beast =D I didn’t really snap any photos while I was there because I was too busy enjoying myself and also…. I don’t have a camera =(

So I finally bought myself a pair of brand new Converse Chuck Taylor Sneakers,and boy do i LOVE them! At first I wasn’t sure if I should get a size bigger or a size that fitted perfectly. But my common sense told me that shoes do stretch and loosen over time. So i went for the size that fit perfectly.

But after wearing it for a full day walking around KL, my heels started to blister It was then I started thinking, should I have gone for a size bigger instead? Since I was inexperienced in buying sneakers, I asked around, many told me that I should have went for bigger while some says a perfect fit is fine.

Finally my dad told me that I shouldn’t have worn brand new shoes and walk all day cuz it will ‘bite’ me >_< He told me to give my shoes time to ‘fit’ my feet.

Today is day two of me walking in my new shoes, they still ‘bite’ me … I just have to suck it up and bear with the pain, cuz one size bigger is waaaay too big for me.

I know I don’t have many readers but who cares. I have a blog because I can ;p

I have decided to delete my blogspot and switch to wordpress because I like the clean look. But I did import all my old blogspot entries before tossing it in the bin. So my old memories are still available.

I am going to try to post more often…(gosh that line sounds so familiar)…but I got to go for now!

Finally the glamorous and talented Adam Lambert is visiting our shores! And I am so glad I decided just days before the concert to go. At first I could not decide if i should go as I couldn’t find any companions to go with. But eventually found out some friends who live nearby that are going so I desperately search around for people selling Rockzone tickets. Score!

Concert day, rushed to Bukit Jalil straight after work to meet up with Yat and Kel Li. 7pm and I was walking around checking out Glambert Fans all glam up and snapping photos. 8pm Yat finally arrived and I got to meet his lovely Daphne for the first time and it’s into the concert hall! Got to meet a whole lot more of Yat’s friends Joshua, Nigel, Jen, David, Ceddy,and Jason – and finally after tweeting and msn-ing with Kel Li, we finally met face to face!

The show kicked off with our local acts, Iqwal singing ‘Down’ by Jay Sean, also Danell Lee and Dennis Lau performing ‘It’s My Life’ by Bon Jovi. Not long after was the highlight of the lovely evening. Adam Lambert takes the stage, enchanting us with his perfect voice, entertaining us with his talented crew of musicians and dancers…I wish i could find more of Tommy Joe Ratcliff’s picture from that night. In case you are wondering who is Tommy? He’s the handsome young man Adam kisses on stage when performing but they are not allowed to do in here in Malaysia =/

PARAMORE IS IN TOWN!! OMFG THE LONG AWAITED DAY IS HERE!!! This is round 2 of PARA-AWESOMENESS for me in 2010. Jenn and I arrived at approximately 12pm to queue. Yes we went early! We want to get a good view! After the long hours of rain and shine the gates finally opened. We got a good spot and an awesome view but after we later on went to the back where there was more space to rock out and head bang. I’ll spare the details on why we went to the back.

People let me tell you this, especially Paramore fans that did not go to the concert, you made a huge mistake! Paramore never fails to put on a great performance and blow the crowd away with energy from the one and only dynamite Hayley Williams, which could not have done so without the help of her loving family Josh, Zac, Jeremy and Taylor!

Hayley loved the energy from the crowd, she even comment on stage “America should see this, this is sick!” Hayley also promised that they will never wait 6 years to come to Malaysia ever again. YAY! We didn’t get much pictures of the concert, doing what we did also at Paramore’s Singapore concert, we were just too darn busy enjoying ourselves.

Head banging, screaming, jumping, dancing, more head banging! All the muscle aches and still neck the next morning was TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Malaysia’s 1st Craft Brews Beer Festival
Thanks a bunch with lotsa love to Kel Li and Jen that Ryan and myself got to attend this festival for some beer tasting and great company. Yes, beer tasting. And I can say that Flying Dog Beer is really nice! I personally like the ‘Dogy-style’ (yes I know it sounds naughty) and ‘Golden Ale’ also not forgetting the ‘Monster Green Lager.
Beer tasting which is what we learned there with their freshly brewed, unfiltered beers which is much more foamy looking compared to our standard Heineiken and Carlsberg. First we hold up our beers to the light to view the color, then we swirl the beer, take a nice whiff of the fragrant, take a big sip and let it sit on our tongue for 3 seconds and then gulp it…yumm! i mean…CHEERS~!!
The ‘Dogy-Style’ has a sweet laici scent and fruity flavor which is simply lovely! ‘Golden Ale’ on the other hand is really smooth and refreshing, suitable for a hot day. And last but not least the ‘Monster Green Lager’, which the beer is green in color, but it’s very refreshing and sweet tasting. Plus many more others that I tried which I can’t recall the names and taste. But these 3 are what stands out to me the most.
